Electrical installation testing requirements
By law, electrical equipment should be maintained at regular, appropriate intervals to ensure safety and to prevent danger. The Health & Safety Executive recommends businesses and employers carry out routine electrical installation testing and inspections to comply with the regulations.
Regular electrical inspections and testing services include electrical checks to ensure installations are safe, PAT Testing of appliances and upgrading where required, such as consumer units in rented properties to comply with BS7671.
Following any inspection, you should provided with the relevant report outlining potential hazards and recommendations for remedial works, and the revelant certificate:
- Electrical Installation Certificate (EIC)
- Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR)
- Minor Electrical Installation Works Certificate (MEIWC)
- When issued, both the EIC and EICR will be accompanied by a Schedule of Inspections and a
- Schedule of Test results
- Portable Appliance Testing (PAT Testing)
To comply with the Electricity at Work Regulations, you’re legally required to regularly maintain all your portable electrical appliances.
We provide PAT Testing for electrical portable equipment in all types of premises to meet your electrical compliance needs. All items tested and passed are issued with a pass certificate to file a detailed, traceable report.

Fixed installation testing
